Welcome to my art school page! This is where I share the wonderful creations that my art club pupils have made. They range from 5-11 years old.
I have been running art sessions for children in an after school setting for 3 years, teaching a range of techniques with many different materials.

Soft pastel & charcoal work
Project Name
These guided sessions focused on techniques for charcoal and soft pastel. The children learned how to blend, create layers of pastel to show depth to their image, and explored how different colours work together.

Collage work
Urban landscapes
The class created their own textured collage pieces using mixed media, before then cutting these pieces into shapes to learn how to compose an image. We created urban landscapes, both imagined and real.
Seascapes
Further down, the class use coloured paper to create block shapes, arranged into a sea scene. They explored how to use bright colours for the focal point and how to layer colours together to create depth in the landscape.

Craft and model work
Along with teaching traditional fine art skills, I also include craft activities giving the children a chance to create more tactile and three dimensional pieces. We have made plasticine pipe cleaner octopus and dragons with moveable parts.
